Not every technology used in the browser is a cookie. Therefore, this Policy also describes mechanisms such as session storage used by the platform.

2. Necessary cookies

Degustaí uses cookies related to the operation of essential features, including:

• authentication;
• session maintenance;
• security;
• selection of the active restaurant in the dashboard;
• operation of certain administrative areas.

These cookies are necessary to perform the corresponding features.

3. Language preference

The menu may store a language preference so that subsequent visits use the language previously selected.

This preference is not used for behavioral advertising.

4. Session storage

Degustaí uses sessionStorage, a browser feature, to temporarily store information related to the current session.

Depending on the feature, this may include:

• pseudonymous menu session identifier;
• favorites;
• selected options and add-ons;
• information used to calculate the bill locally;
• temporary navigation state;
• information used to prevent duplicate records of certain events;
• temporary data used in administrative features.

As a rule, this information remains associated with the current browser tab or window session and may be removed according to the behavior of the browser or the relevant feature.

5. Proprietary analytics

Degustaí uses a proprietary analytics system to record certain events related to the use of digital menus.

Events that may be recorded include:

• opening the menu;
• viewing dishes;
• favorites;
• use of certain features;
• language changes;
• interactions with suggestions;
• clicks on certain external links.

A pseudonymous identifier created in the browser may be used to relate certain events occurring during the same session.

This data is sent to Degustaí's systems and processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. External analytics and advertising tools

Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Corporation, is used on the institutional website for usage and experience analytics and may generate interaction metrics, heatmaps, and session recordings, depending on the tool's configuration.

The corresponding category is “Analytics cookies”. The use of persistent analytics cookies depends on Analytics consent; when authorized, Clarity may use cookies such as _clck and _clsk.

When Analytics remains denied, Clarity does not use persistent analytics cookies, but the tool may operate in limited/cookieless mode and send limited technical signals.

We do not use Microsoft Advertising, and ad_Storage remains denied. Analytics consent can be changed or withdrawn at any time.

Clarity is not used on digital menus, the administrative dashboard, or authenticated areas.

Meta Pixel

Degustaí uses the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) exclusively on its institutional website, for the purpose of measuring the performance of marketing and advertising campaigns.

The Meta Pixel is not loaded before the user grants consent for marketing cookies, as described in Section 9.

The user can reject or later change their marketing consent preference at any time.

When used, the Meta Pixel may process information in accordance with Meta Platforms, Inc.'s own terms and privacy policies.

The Meta Pixel is not used on the digital menus, the administrative panel, or other areas of the application intended for restaurants and their customers.

If other third-party advertising or behavioral tracking tools come to be used, this Policy will be updated and the applicable control mechanisms will be evaluated before the respective technologies are used.

7. External services and content

Certain pages may contain links or resources provided by external services.

When accessing a third-party service, the user also becomes subject to that supplier's technologies, terms, and policies.

8. Browser controls

Users can use their browser settings to view, block, or remove cookies and stored data.

Disabling certain necessary technologies may prevent some features from functioning correctly.

9. Cookie banner

Degustaí's institutional website displays a cookie banner to users who have not yet registered a consent preference.

Analytics and Marketing are independent optional categories, and both are treated as denied by default until the user gives explicit consent.

“Accept all” authorizes both categories; “Reject optional” keeps both denied; and “Preferences” allows Analytics and Marketing to be selected separately.

The choice is stored locally in the user's browser and can be changed or withdrawn at any time through the preferences control available on the institutional website.

Essential cookies remain active. This banner and the preferences control apply to the institutional website; digital menus, the administrative dashboard, and other areas of the application continue to operate with the necessary cookies described in Section 2.

This Policy may be updated when there are changes to the technologies used, their purposes, or applicable law.
